The Start menu in Windows 10 is not what it was back in Windows 7. If that worries you, rest assured that the changes made to it, every single one of them, are simply awesome. The Start menu in Windows 10 is much like a dashboard for everything featuring awesome live tiles and a lot of great customization options. In short, you’re going to love it and you’re going to love pinning just about anything and everything you need to quickly access on a daily basis. We’ve already discussed how you can pin a website to the Start menu and today, we’re going to show you how you can pin a playlist or an album or song to the Windows 10 Start menu.

This trick has one caveat; you must use the Groove app to create playlists and that’s the app the music will be played with. Open Groove, import your music and create the playlist you want to listen to. If you’re using iTunes, you can import a playlist from it.

Open the playlist and click the More actions button. Click the Pin to start option and the playlist (or album or song), will be pinned to the Start menu.

Open the Start menu and look for the newly added tile. The great thing about the tile is that it is a live tile so if you’ve added an album or a playlist, it will loop the different songs’ album art on the tile. You need only click the tile (it has a play button on it) and the playlist or song will be played. Feel free to move the tile into a neat little group called ‘Music’ or ‘My jam’.
