Almost everyone likes to listen to music. Whether it is a good habit or a bad one to do it while working, is debatable. However, if done in your free time, it can be quite a relaxing activity. A good playlist can take off a lot of stress. Radio is a great way to listen to new music, as well as old music. Developed by Hiro-Multimedia, RadioKlone is an application for Windows that allows you to listen to thousands of online radio stations, record streams and save them to your computer. It contains a long list of radio stations grouped together by music genre such as Blues, Electronic, Jazz, Rock, Metal, Alternative etc., and each genre category includes a number of radio stations. If there is any particular radio station that you like to listen to, but it is not included in the program by default, you can easily add it to the application. More on RadioKlone after the jump.
The application has a very clean interface and offers straightforward usage. The left side contains tabs for accessing the Main, Options and Radio Streams sections of the program, while the right side holds all the relevant options of the selected tab. The Main tab lets you Start/ Stop the selected radio stream, record the currently playing radio stream, and choose a category and then station to play the stream. You can also move selected stations to the Favorites category for quickly accessing it the next time you run the application.
The Category list contains radio stations belonging to different genres including Blues, Electronic, Folk, Heavy Metal, Hip Hop, Jazz, New Age Music, Children’s Radio, Christmas Music, Country Music etc.
The Options tab lets you specify the Output Folder, and if you want to record the stream for a selected time interval after you hit the Record button or a record the entire length of the radio stream. Moreover, you can change the language settings of the interface.
The Radio Stream tab allows you to add new stations to different categories. You can Search for a particular radio station, Edit its settings, Add a new one or Delete an existing one. To add a radio stream, click Add and enter the name, insert stream URL and select a category for your desired radio station.
The application works on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
