Previously we have reviewed SaveGameBackup, which is an application that saves and restores game backups. GameSave Manager is a similar yet more dynamic application that allows users to save and restore game backup from a large number of games. Many hardcore gamers might be acquainted with GameSave Manager, however whether you are new to this app or already use it, you might be interested in its version 2.3 which has more dynamic options than ever before. Unlike, SaveGameBackup it contains Dropbox support which means that you can save your game backup directly to your Dropbox account.
From the main interface, you can import/export game information (from the respective options), as well as manage file associations, backup or restore game progress, save your backup with DropBox, connect to your FTP account, move/save games to alternative directories (via Junction and Symbolic Links option) and much more.
The new features allow users to restore/remove NTFS junctions or symbolic links via the Restore Engine, it has been updated to work with 7Zip v9.20, new database updates have been included which has removed some duplicate game entries and changed/added some alternative ones. It now has added compatibility for games such as A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda, Dead Space 2, Magicka, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, etc.
In the latest version some old problems have been fixed such as the use of 7Zip password prompt issue, some typos that were present in the debug log, problems with saving backup from a network share and some GUI glitches.
This application works with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
