<description>Sorry if this is a double post but I can&#039;t see my last one and didn&#039;t get a message to say whether it had worked or not.

To get auto-scanning and multi-page on a flat-bed scanner (without a page feeder), you can use the excellent VueScan from hamrick.com.

Although not cheap, it is one piece of software I&#039;ve never regretted buying. I brought the PRO version nearly 10 years ago. I&#039;m still getting free upgrades and I&#039;m still using it. It is well recommended if you are doing any amount of scanning.

It will do multi-page scans from a manual feed scanner (additional scans are added to the existing file). It will output to multiple formats (more than one at a time if you want) including PDF. It has a timed scan feature that partially automates scanning on manual feed scanners.

It has some of the best optimisation features around - that was it&#039;s original feature for use with film scanners. It has a library of many scanner drivers built-in so it works on new or different OS&#039;s where there aren&#039;t any drivers available. It even has OCR capabilities. Oh, and it works on Windows, Mac and Linux!

Go ahead and try it then give Ed Hamrick some money, you know it makes sense! (BTW, I&#039;m not associated with this software in any way - I just think it is worth it).
