In the past, we have covered numerous photo collage creators for different platforms including Windows, Mac OS X, Android, iOS etc. Today, we will take a look into another collage making tool for Windows and Mac OS X known as CollageIt, that with its easy to use interface design, lets you generate unique photo collages within a few clicks. The beautiful looking photo collage can be easily exported into PNG, PDF, JPG, PSD, GIF, TIFF, BMP and format or you may instantly upload it on your Flickr or Facebook to share it with your friends and family from within the application.

When you launch the application, it asks you to select a template that you want to work with , and as I started earlier, there are numerous templates available to choose from. Simply select your desired template and click Choose.

CollageIt is a paid application worth $19.90 for a Professional Windows & Mac license. AddictiveTips is giving away 5 Professional licenses for Windows and 5 for Mac OS X to 10 lucky readers, details for which can be found at the end of the article.

All the selected images get enlisted under the Photo List section to the left, and you can Remove or Clear the selection using the corresponding buttons. You can specify a couple of different parameters to set it how you want your collage to look like. For instance, from Layout tab, you can set the Photo Count, specify the Margin and Space between photos, Rotate the images or use the Auto Sparse feature. The Photo tab on the other hand enables you to alter the frame size and color, and lets you enable/disable Photo Shadow option. Finally, you can click Choose Template button to the bottom left to change your selected template.

Along with tweaking your photos, you may choose a different background as well. Click Background button on the main screen to open the Background window. It lets you choose either two solid colors or use an image file as a background. You may also change an image’s opacity level from the Opacity section.

If you click File > Page Setup on the menu bar, it will open up Collage Panel Setting console from where you can alter the page size and change its orientation to Landscape or Portrait.

CollageIt for Mac is somewhat different from its Windows counterpart in terms of layout design. However both variants are similar in case of the number of features and options, they offer.

CollageIt is available as a Paid as well as Free version, where the latter comes with a few limitations like inability to crop collage, watermark, and limited photo size. CollageIt is available for Windows and Mac OSX. The Windows variant works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
