It can be difficult to figure out if your employees are productive enough. EasyTime is a free application that helps determine the productivity of employees. It works silently in the background and determines the time an employee spends while executing different tasks on the computer.
The interface is user-friendly and can easily be managed even by novice users. You need to install the application on all the employee’s system. You can specify the date and time for which the program should remain active on a daily basis (work timings, for instance 9 AM to 5 PM). After activating the program by clicking Start Recording, the application will hide in the background. It will silently record the time the employee spent on different tasks/programs. You can add filters so the application makes note of only those applications that remain active for more than a certain period of time.
The application can display results in the form of Journal or Totals by Program. The Journal report displays a chronological listing of all applications/tasks that were executed in the specified time period. Totals by Program shows a list of the total time spent on different programs. In either format, the report will include name of program, duration for which the program was accessed, program icon, title of window, and a percentage of total time spent on the program.
It is a very helpful application for monitoring employee productivity. Based on the results, you can determine if a particular employee is having trouble with any particular task. Additionally, you can also calculate idle time and can take measures to improve productivity.
It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Testing was carried out on Windows 7 x86 system.
