Twitter is the fastest growing online service these days and according to multiple surveys more than 60% users don’t visit the Twitter page, they control everything through Twitter desktop clients. But if you are looking for a simple twitter client with some very basic functionality, then it is going to be tough.
Luckily I came across MiniTwitter. It is a dead simple desktop twitter client for Windows that is a stripped down version of TweetDeck, Seesmic, and bDule. It has a basic interface from where you can tweet and contains four different tabs – Recent, Replies, Archive, and Message.
Here is another screenshot of Replies tab.
The Settings interface is in Japanese and there is no option to change the language to English yet, but will come soon in the next release.
This tool is still under development, but I did not find any bugs except one – If you scroll down in Recent tweets tab and then go to Replies tab, you will find it scrolled down too. Overall, it looks very promising, the developer just needs to fix this bug and add the English interface so that the masses can accept it easily.
It works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Minimum .NET Framework 3.0 SP1 is required. Enjoy!
