Install Bluetooth Driver In Windows 7

Recently we came across a useful app that can get your Bluetooth device to work with Microsoft Bluetooth Stack. If you have a Bluetooth device who’s driver fails to install in Windows 7 rendering your Bluetooth adapter useless, you can give this app a try.

The app in question is Bluetooth Driver Installer. All it does is to attempt to install generic Microsoft drivers for your Bluetooth device.

Windows 7 users have not faced any major Bluetooth driver problems, but we are posting this app to help those few users who might be encountering the problem. The app is perfectly safe to use since it creates a Windows System Restore point. In case anything goes wrong, you can always restore your system.

So how does it work? You need to first remove all installed Bluetooth drivers and then restart the system. Now click Cancel when Windows prompt for driver installation. Run the app and follow the wizard.

      I had the same problem. i tried every bluetooth software and then i realised my laptop doesnt have bluetooth enabled on it so you would have to go and buy a bluetooth device for the computer which sucks.

        also this publisher has software that will go in and wipe out your currnet drivers and then it ask you to accept, read before you accept because it states you must pay a fee after the 30 day trial, this is a common program that has been copied and posted on many sites. If they negleted to leave that out then they are liable for whatever damages occur to your computer, another fun long process….

      The only way to get access to bluetooth through your iphone is to make adjustments to your plan and pay an extra $30 a month for “tethering” which i think is just another word for bluetooth. I think its crazy how they not only jacked up the rates but now they also have taken away something that has always been free and still is free on every other phone (smart phone and non smart phone). There is an alternative way to get this feature for free and that is to jailbreak your iphone and install cydia. I havent done it yet because i was curious to see what the “status” is on the patent happle has applied for but after reviewing it even if it does go into effect it will be awhile before its enforced which means contracts should be able to be renewed and the fact that i pay almost 100 dollars a month for just myself I think its ridiculous for them to charge for a service that has always been free and still is for every non iphone user. Ive researched this in and out, if you found a loophole though please share! :)

        Am using win 7 Ultimate, my Bluetooth is inbuilt and my machine is IBM Lenovo T400 SN- 6474-B84, when i try to install am getting the error:

          Almost every laptop have a bluetooth ikon that can glow when bluetooth is activated.
          This doesn’t mean you have bluetooth in your computer. Some computers comes with more than one configureation, one with bluetooth, one without. But the laptop still have the sam look. Both have an icon for the bluetooth device. But only one have bluetooth.

          What I’m trying to say is. Just because you have a bluetooth mark on your touchpad doesnt mean you have bluetooth device. It doess however say that IF you install a bluetooth device (internal) your computer supports showing it on your touchpad.

          Check your computers product number and then checkl it on there site to see what you actually got inside it. My guess, no bluetooth.

    After a system crash, Win 7 found no Bluetooth devices. So i set all hope in this programm.
    And it WORKS! I didn’t uninstall any software. Runs perfectly. In a pair of seconds Win7 reconize the the dongle and install all MS-Bluetooth-Services. This was the “Number One” for me after a fail install from Broadcom-Software-Installer.

    i have got hp probook 4410s and compaq cq60 both have in built bluetooth device but none of them are able to send or receive files through bluetooth earlier they used to work but now they dont in the control panel bluetooth devices option is not coming i have windows 7 ultimate

    It work for me following way….
    I use a usb bluetooth dongle. windows 7 automatically installed driver software for it but it did not work at all. so i open divice manager window then disable the bluetooth divice ( not uninstall). then run the software. then it works…

    ok, everything worked great until i accidentally clicked ‘exit’ on the bluetooth icon in the taskbar, so now when i plug in my adapter the icon doesn’t show anymore (I’ve tried changing settings but they are set to ‘Show icon and notifications’. I can send files from my computer to my phone by right-click on the file, but I can’t send files from phone to computer because I can’t enable the ‘Receive file’ option that was available when right-clicked on the taskbar icon. I’ve tried uninstalling, reinstalling, it seems that everything works fine except that icon doesnt show. Is there any other way to enable ‘Receive file’ option?
