Rooting the Sony Tablet S just got very easy, thanks to the efforts of XDA-Developers forum member condi and djrbliss. While credit for coming up with the original root method goes to djrbliss, condi  has managed to mod it up a bit and eliminate problems like com.pwn.me error or MTP enabling and disabling issues on the device. The root script has been modded to run on both 32bit and 64bit Windows, while it has actually been tested and confirmed to be working on Windows XP 32bit and Windows 7 64bit. Read More

This comes in from XDA-Developers forum member drellisidee who has built this from the Amon Ra recovery source. Yup, this is not your ClockworkMod recovery, but the equally popular Amon Ra. Even better, it is a one click solution so even the most novice of users, who grabbed the latest OTA update that Asus pushed out, can now root their device in no time at all. The One Click solution is brought to us by XDA-Developer forum member -viperboy- who released this very tool a while back for rooting the earlier firmware, but now, the tool has been updated to work on the latest OTA, that is the 9.2.4.11. ClockworkMod Recovery Ported To Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet [Install]

Just a while back, the Lenovo ThinkPad tablet was rooted, and now ClockworkMod recovery has been ported onto the Honeycomb device powered by the Tegra 2 chipset. The core appeal of an insecure boot image for an Android device, is its life jacket like role for a device that is otherwise irrecoverable. An insecure boot image gives you a degree of recoverability at the very earliest stage of the device boot process, even if the /system partition on your device has been messed up. With an insecure boot image, you stand a chance and connecting your device via ADB to a computer and sort things out to try and recover the device. Toshiba Thrive gets rooted on HC 3.2.1! Earlier we covered a guide on rooting the Toshiba Thrive Honeycomb tablet, which was achieved by putting the tablet into fastboot mode. However, a lot of users upgraded to the official Honeycomb 3.2.1 OTA update that Toshiba pushed out, in the hopes that root will soon be made available. Well that wasn’t the case, much to the users dismay, Toshiba had removed fastboot from the US and Canadian ROMs due to the addition of DRM for renting of Google Videos. Toshiba however was kind enough to offer a roll back, but that is not the answer. Custom Kernel For LG G-Slate On Honeycomb 3.1 [Download & Install]

The G-Slate development is picking up pace. This newly released custom kernel meant for the G-Slate running Honeycomb 3.1 is testament to that. RootzWiki forum member ChifzReloaded, who was also responsible for bringing us the bootloader unlock, has released a custom kernel, that, for now isn’t fancy at all, but according to him, it is faster than the current stock one. The kernel offers no OC support right now, and whether that would be added to it or not in the future, is unclear for now.
