Grooveshark made it easy to listen to songs practically anywhere; Grooveshredder is a Firefox extension that makes it easy to download songs from this popular site. Unlike download managers, the extension simply opens as a dialog box and downloads the song you want in MP3 format.
Download starts automatically once you have the extension installed; search for any song on the site and double click to play it. A window pops up asking where you want to save the file; it goes to your default download folder if a different path is not specified and the file will always be in MP3 format. The file name can be edited. The song doesn’t start playing until download has completed or has been cancelled. Once you cancel the download, you will have to reload the page and double click the song for the download to begin again.
