Create, Access, Delete & Mount Shadow Copies On Any Windows Version With Z-VSSCopy

For those who are unfamiliar with the terms Shadow Copy or VSS (Volume Snapshot Service), it is a technology included in Microsoft Windows. What it does is it automatically creates backups of your data, with an option to lets you do so manually. Both Windows Vista and Windows 7 can create copies of your files and folders, which allows you to retrieve the previous versions in case they are accidentally deleted, modified or manipulated in one way or the other. In computers running Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating systems, this service is active by default. Microsoft has only included the privilege of accessing shadow copies in Windows Ultimate, Business and Enterprise edition, leaving other editions of the OS to dust. Back in January, I reviewed an application for Windows called Shadow Explorer. It is a tool that allows Windows Home version users to access shadow copies according to time filters, and provides a unified interface to explore and export them. Today, I have a similar application for users of Windows 7 editions who need a third party solution. Shadow Copy (Volume Snapshot Service) is a technology included in Microsoft Windows that allows users to take manual or automatic backup copies of data. This was first included in Microsoft Windows XP and updated in Windows Vista to make better use of the Shadow Copy service. From time to time, Windows Vista and Windows 7 create copies of your file and store them, enabling you to retrieve previous version of the files and folders in case they are accidently deleted or modified by you or someone else. This service is turned on by default in every system running the Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating systems. However, Microsoft only grants access to Windows Ultimate, Business and Enterprise edition users. Shadow Explorer is a tool that allows Windows Home version users to access the shadow copies, and provides a unified interface to explore and export all shadow copies viewable according to time filters. NppExport For Notepad++: Export Highlighted Code In HTML/RTF Format

Notepad++ is becoming more and more versatile and useful text editor with every new plugin added to its arsenal. Each new plugin brings something different to the application allowing users to perform more and more functions and edit documents with ease using Notepad++. The default Notepad++ does not allow users to export the edited text or code in HTML or RTF format. So, if you want to generate an HTML report of a piece of code you have just written, you will have to use another tool for that. Today, we bring you another plugin called NppExport that allows you to generate reports of your source code in HTML and RTF format. You can also copy the source code to Windows clipboard in specified format (HTML or RTF), and paste it in your default Word Processor to get highlighted syntax of code.
