Most Anticipated Games of 2025
While our earlier new video game releases list is already massive, there are some super hyped games missing. Why? We don’t have official release dates yet. We’ll be sure to update it as they come. In the meantime, here’s some of the most anticipated games that we’ll hopefully see this year:
GTA VI – What We Know So Far
The Grand Theft Auto 6 release date was supposed to be coming to consoles later this year, but Rockstar Games just made an announcement that it won’t be coming out until May of 2026. In spite of a trailer, there is still much to be revealed about the upcoming game, with many players especially dreading the possible price. Rumors and speculations of a $100 price tag have already made gamers anxious, but only time will tell if it actually happens. Regardless, GTA6 will be available to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Elder Scrolls 6
Honestly, there’s no way Elder Scrolls 6 will be ready in 2025. However, it has been confirmed to be in active development, meaning players are hopeful for a 2026 release. Considering how fast 2025 is zooming by, perhaps it won’t be that long of a wait after all.
Hades 2
Although early access to Hades 2 was last year, and players can already play the game from start to finish in its current form, it is slated to release its full version sometime this year. We still don’t have an official date, but we do officially know that it will be available on both Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, so keep your eyes peeled.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
The Metal Gear games were such a formative gaming experience for so many players, it’s understandable that the remake has so much hype. With immersive environments, insane graphics, and a strong respect for the original material, this game is clearly going to be amazing. It’s set to release August 8th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

It is a PlayStation 5 exclusive, however, at least for the time being.
