While our earlier new video game releases list is already massive, there are some highly anticipated games missing from it. Why? Either their release window is still unconfirmed, or they have been officially delayed to 2026. We’ll update this section as new information comes in. Here’s what we’re tracking:

Hades 2
Latest official window: 2025 (no specific date confirmed)
Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2
Status: Early Access → Full 1.0 release pending
Last meaningful update: Supergiant Games has confirmed Hades 2 is progressing through Early Access and will launch its full 1.0 version this year. The game is already playable from start to finish in its current Early Access form on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Latest official window: 2025 (no specific date confirmed)
Platforms: Nintendo Switch (original)
Status: Announced, in development
Last meaningful update: The Pokémon Company has confirmed Pokémon Legends: Z-A is launching in 2025 on the original Nintendo Switch. The game is set in a reimagined Lumiose City and is the follow-up to Pokémon Legends: Arceus. No specific release date has been announced yet.
Gears of War: E-Day

Last meaningful update: The Coalition revealed Gears of War: E-Day at Xbox Games Showcase 2024. It is a prequel set during Emergence Day. No release window has been officially confirmed beyond a general “when it’s ready” stance from Microsoft.
Elder Scrolls 6

Platforms: TBA (expected PC and Xbox; PS5 availability unconfirmed)
Status: In active development at Bethesda Game Studios
Last meaningful update: Todd Howard confirmed in 2023 that Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production and follows Starfield in the development pipeline. There is no confirmed release year, and a 2025 or even 2026 launch is considered extremely unlikely by most industry analysts. This is purely a long-horizon title to watch.

GTA VI
