Star Wars, as a franchise, is owned by Disney and Disney has its own streaming service; Disney+. Most popular films, Star Wars or otherwise make it to Disney+ simply because the studio owns them e.g. the entire Marvel franchise. The The Book of Boba Fett is a series which means you don’t need to go to a theater to watch it. You can stream it online with Disney+. The title will be available on December 29, 2021.

To watch The Book of Boba Fett you need a subscription to Disney+. It costs $8 per month and there is no free trial. The streaming experience is ad-free.

If you live in the US, and you have a Hulu subscription, you can purchase the Disney+ bundle for $13.99. This will give you access to both Hulu and Disney+ titles, as well as ESPN. It’s a much cheaper option if you like to watch Hulu exclusive titles but don’t want to miss the titles that are available on Disney+.

The Book of Boba Fett is on Disney+ which is available in 61 countries at present. This is a very small number of countries, especially if you compare it to Netflix. If you happen to reside in one of these countries, all you need is a subscription. Hulu remains exclusive to the US so you will not be able to take advantage of the Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN bundle.


Disney titles, regardless if they are for the Star Wars or for Marvel, will remain exclusive to the platform for a while. If you’re trying to avoid theaters but still want to watch Marvel movies, as well as other spin-off series for Marvel or Star Wars, a Disney+ subscription isn’t bad. It’s much cheaper than movie tickets and you will have access to lots of popular titles. That said, remember that many movies, Marvel, Star Wars, or otherwise that Disney owns, will often get a limited time theater-only release. Once the time period expires though, the titles will arrive on Disney+. You won’t be able to watch new titles on release day, but will have access to them as soon as they’re available online.
