Embed Facebook Albums, Events, Notes, And Other Objects On Your WordPress Blog

Until today, there has been no easier way to embed Facebook objects, such as, albums, events, groups, notes, photos, or videos on a WordPress blog. Being such a popular social network, it is surprising to see the lack of such a plugin for wordpress. Our friend, Sohail Abid found himself in a similar situation and created the most easy-to-use facebook plugin out there called Embed Facebook.

What makes it awesome is not the fact that it allows you to embed facebook objects, but the way it works. Once installed, there is no additional configuration required. Just paste the link of any facebook object (album, event, group, note, photo, or video) and it will get embedded instantly. The only requirement is that the object must be public and belong to a facebook page.

Below are some screenshots showing how embedded facebook objects look like.

  1. Time to pull this down or amend it.

I agree it’s an awesome plugin, when it worked. However it no longer works, and has not worked for a month or so now.

I’ve reached out to Sohail Abid and have not heard back as of yet.

Hopefully someone can get this great plugin back on track.

  3. Great, start, but there’s still quite a ways to go. Why does it use it’s own stylesheet? How about using the same one as the currently installed theme? The lack of customization requirements is great for someone that just wants to put something up quickly, but what if I want to make some adjustments? Sure, I can edit the code, but at a certain point it becomes more my code than Sohail’s. I’m offering help to add in some of these updates, if need be. E-mail me.

  4. Hi!
That is some good work. But I need not exactly that. What I want is not every facebook link apaer like a box, I just want the events apaer in the left coulumn similar to this:

My other problem with this plugin, you can not answer you attend or not, and also it is too long if the text about the event is long. (So maybe there can be a read more button or sg like that.)

    I hope you can help!
    Thx, rizsi
