Word 2010 offers summarize view to let user view document by different levels. However, when compared to previous Word versions, Word 2010 doesn’t support summary feature, yet changing the document view helps in outlining the document content.
To summarize the document, it is recommended that document contains headings. Now head over to View tab and click Outline.
Under Outline Tools group, you can set different viewing levels. For instance, we have out-lined the document by level 6, which shows all the headings in the document with collapsibles.
You can try out different viewing levels and select one that suites your need.
