Carbonite CM7 Home Carbonite CM7 Notifications

Carbonite CM7 is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread custom ROM for the HTC Droid Incredible that is based on CyanogenMod 7 and has been released earlier today by XDA-Developers forum member trock79. If you want to give your Droid Incredible a fresh new ROM installation, read on for details, download link and installation instructions.

By developing this ROM, the developer wanted to expand on his Carbonite series and themed it accordingly. It has all the features of CyanogenMod 7 as well packed along with Android 2.3 Gingerbread features, and has customizations added by the developer on top. These customizations primarily include soft blue icons for much of the UI, as you can see in the screenshots (taken from the developer’s post).

Disclaimer: Please follow this guide at your own risk. AddictiveTips will not be liable if your device gets damaged or bricked during the process.

To install this ROM on your phone, simply download it from the link given below and flash it to your phone from recovery. Make sure to take a backup first and wipe data as well as cache before flashing the ROM. If you are unfamiliar with any of these steps, refer to our guide on how to flash a custom ROM to your Android device from recovery.

Google Apps aren’t included with the ROM by default but we have included a version here that is compatible with this ROM. You can install it from recovery just like the ROM but there’s no need to wipe date before you install Google Apps. Don’t forget to take a backup first however.
