Install CyanogenMod 7 Nightly Custom Android ROM on Nexus S

CyanogenMod 7 nightly builds have been rolling out for several devices over the past few days that we have been featuring, and presently, a version is available for Nexus S as well. If you want to customize your flagship Android 2.3 Gingerbread device, read on for details and instructions.

At AddictiveTips, we never fail to show CyanogenMod some love and with its availability for Nexus S, we are glad to finally be able to use our favorite ROM on the leading Gingerbread device. Before you can install any CyanogenMod 7 ROM, you must have ClockworkMod 3 or later recovery installed. The first step is to install the latest version of ClockworkMod recovery it to your phone by following the ROM Manager method from our guide on installing ClockworkMod.

Once you have the recovery installed, simply download the latest nightly ROM from the link given below and flash it to your phone from recovery. Don’t forget to take a nandroid backup and wipe data, cache and Dalvik cache first. If you don’t know how to perform any of these steps, refer to our guide on how to install a ROM on Android from recovery.

To install Google Apps, download the file from the link given below and flash it from recovery without wiping data, though wiping cache and Dalvik cache won’t hurt and might be a good idea.
