Good news HTC Desire Z / T-Mobile G2 owners – MIUI ROM is now available for your device and you can install it now to give your Android phone a complete user interface makeover. The ROM is available for download and you can install it to your Android device right away. Read on for feature list, download link and installation instructions.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with MIUI, it is a custom Android ROM that brings interface elements from iPhone to Android devices. In addition to the user interface revamp, it also includes several additional apps to go with that interface. Initially developed by a group of Chinese guys in Chinese language only, the ROM has now been ported to several devices with support for other languages including English added as translation packs.
Coming to this ROM in particular, it is based on the latest MIUI ROM along with the English translation pack from MIUI-Dev.com. Pretty much all the features including the interface, cell Radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Camera, Camcorder, Torch, Backlight Sensor, Keyboard Backlight, Trackpad Wake and Themes are working. You can also take screenshots from this ROM by holding ‘Menu’ and pressing ‘Volume Down’. The only feature not working right now is the hardware shortcut buttons but they can be remapped using previously featured ButtonRemapper.
