When you first open the addon, you see a short and simple main menu which simply lists Movies, TV Shows, a couple of administrative options and a couple of test options which you can safely ignore. When you open up the two main tabs, you find they are actually deceptively large and well laid out.

Movies

In the main movie tab is a long sub-menu of options which breaks this addons movie content down into various different categories. The main ones that most Man Cave Flix users will be clicking on are:

Movie Channels – This option opens up a selection of live movie TV channels but users should note that it needs another addon, LiveStreamsPro, to be downloaded in order to work.

Man Cave Movies – This is where the movies for lads are all gathered and there are a lot to choose from. You can search by various different types of content, such as Gangster, Baseball, Martial Arts, Racing, Nudity, Stoner, and plenty more besides. Each link opens up a list of movie titles. They are listed in no obvious order, which is a little annoying, but there is a brief synopsis, an image, and the run-time.

Cons

We always have a slight issue with addons that try to gender their content and this is a trap that Man Cave Flix definitely falls into. It’s Woman Cave sections are borderline sexist in the way they try and pigeon-hole the type of content that female users would like to watch. What this addon does best is laddish content, but there is no reason why male and female users cannot all enjoy this. The slightly irksome issue aside, there weren’t too many problems we encountered when testing this addon worth reporting back on

As with many other Kodi addons, when you open a menu tab for the first time, the Man Cave Flix Kodi addon has to process metadata. This can take some time and is a little frustrating although it shouldn’t ever repeat the process on the same tab twice. We also always find it a little frustrating when addons list heir no content in no obvious order. This seems unnecessary to us as it makes it much harder to find content, and it can’t be that hard to put content at least in alphabetical order. Man Cave Flix does fall into this trap, but the menu tabs are so comprehensive that, in this addon, it doesn’t actually make finding the content you want that much harder.
