Apply Formatting On Alternate Rows In Excel 2010

Here is a cool tip that would let you highlight alternative rows in Excel 2010 spreadsheet. We will be using Format Painter to apply previously applied text formatting on following rows.

To apply formatting on alternate rows, for instance coloring alternate rows. Fill the desired row with a color and then select both rows (one is colored & other beneath it un-colored). Now under Home tab, click Format Painter.


Now drag the format painter pointer on rows beneath the selected two rows to apply formatting only on alternating rows.
