It’s interesting reading some of the comments.
I read on the Steam forums a post from a few years ago trying to provide solutions that didn’t help. But the person made a passing comment at the end that might explain what is happening, and the timing! Daylight Saving Time.
In the United States, the DST started, March 14th 2021. (2nd Sunday in March).
In Ireland and UK (and maybe other parts of Europe), we don’t start our DST until March 28th.
DST might have some role to play in this “too many attempts” problem.

Use NORDVPN at your own peril. I had to get my banks fraud department involved and actually have the bank stop them from trying to take my money. I originally signed up on a deal on there own website, with a proper account that they refused to honour.
They harassed me via email asking me not to use there service, and asking for payment, which I verified had both gone out of my account and to them! Contact with them via email resulted in such limited responses they looked auto generated. I would ignore all these paid ads for this company, as they are the worst scam like company I have ever had the displeasure of any experience with!

I for the first time today went to the browser to login, because it’s easier for me on a browser to do stuff, like adding a screenshot to a blueprint.
