Word 2010: Define Single-Level List Format

Word 2010 offers multiple types of lists, you can opt multi-level list or single-level according to your needs. Apart from the handy list gallery, you can define the list in your own way.

To define a new list (single-level) format, head over to Home tab and under Paragraph group, from list options, click Define New List Style.


This will bring up Define New List Style dialog, now enter the name of the new style, you can select Start at levels, apply formatting and color different numbering levels. Once done, click OK to use the newly created list style.


Now you can select the newly created list anytime from the list gallery.
