Balabolka Brings More Text-to-Speech Voices, Saves Narration In Many Audio Formats
Balabolka is all-in-one text to speech application which supports previous versions of SAPI-Microsoft Speech APIs to narrate the inserted text. Contrasting to other TTS (Text-to-Speech) programs, it offers a list of different voice qualities and other related controllers for altering voice parameters including the pitch, rate, shrillness, graveness according to your requirements. It lets user apply special voice substitution list to improve the voice articulation. You can also let it narrate the text in clipboard while it supports text reading in DOC, EPUB, HTML,ODT, PDF and RTF files.
In the main interface, you can insert the text and either read the whole document or only the selected text. The toolbar contains a list of options to manipulate the text reading, such as, play, pause, & stop the text narration, open panel of dictionaries, and bookmark text. The best part is that you can save the text narration into WAV, MP3, OGG, WMA, and other audio formats.
From Options, you can set voice quality, rate, pitch, tone, volume and access other voice related controllers. Additionally, you can check the inserted text for spelling mistakes, set timer, and change SAPI primary voice.
Under Tools menu, you will find other complementary features which includes, File Splitter to split the content of a text document, Batch File Converter to convert multiple TXT/DOC/DOCX/HTML documents into audio speeches, Extract Text from Files, and Compare Two Files for comparing two text documents concurrently.
You can select the text anywhere and from it’s system tray menu, click Read Selected text to let it narrate the text for you.
For reading the text in clipboard, click the respective option in the context menu to narrate the clipboard text. You can also save the narration in audio format by clicking Save Audio File option. The application has certainly a lot more to offer, we have touched only its salient features, you can further explore it to make use of one feature-rich Text-to-Speech application. It runs on Windows XP/Vista/7. Testing was done on Windows 7 x86 system.

How do I add other voices to Balabolka ? I have Windows 7 Home.
I have it under windows but I want it under linux please! with the include voices
